It all begins with an idea.

It was in the glorious and mystical city of Portland, OR,–where the dream of the 90s is still alive–that friends and former Ditch the Pilot bandmates Anthony Cacibauda, Jim Fletcher, and Alex Kaufman first transplanted themselves and began playing original music at house shows and jams throughout the area.

But it was out of the dust of a sandlot baseball game of all places that the Indie rock outfit NOBLE STRANGERS first began to emerge. There at the ballpark, in the sweet summer sunshine of Portland, singer/songwriter Anthony Cacibauda and longtime friend and drummer Jim Fletcher first met bassist Jace Krause while playing America’s Pastime, and discovered they shared a passion for making music.

With the pandemic in the rearview mirror, the group began playing music together in the cozy confines of Krause’s basement studio, and over the next two years, they would cultivate the music that is their forthcoming debut album, Lick My Love Pump.

Steeped in the songwriting traditions of their rock and roll forefathers, NOBLE STRANGERS has evolved into a tight and versatile indie rock band, recalling the melodic inclinations of some of their favorite groups like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, Wilco, and the Band to name a few. Drawing from their favorite elements of the British Invasion, Dylanesque songwriters, rock ‘n’ roll, blues, jazz, pop and Indie and Psych Rock music, NOBLE STRANGERS hits the scene with a refreshing sound that celebrates their many influences without feeling indebted to them.

At the forefront of the band’s sound are lean, unadorned songs, infectious hooks, and a refined musicality that blends harmonic sophistication with musical restraint. If less is more, NOBLE STRANGERS understands that the best bands simply make the music they enjoy playing with good friends and never take themselves too seriously in the process.
